Teen Patti (तीन bhjiपत्ती) ("three cards" in English) (also known as Flash or Flush) is a gambling card game that originated in the Indian Subcontinent. The game, which is actually a simplified version of poker, is popular throughout South Asia. Boats out of India call it "flush" to escape any legal negativity surrounding the game where it is played legally.

Game Start

The game starts with one of the players dealing the cards. The cards are usually dealt counter-clockwise.

Before starting the game, usually an agreed number of card(s) is/are picked or dealt to decide the dealer for the opening hand. Each player may be required to put up an ante into the pot before picking/dealing the card(s). The winning player gets the pot. The relative rankings of the card(s) may also decide the seating arrangement for each player. This entire process is called cut-for-seat. After the first/opening hand, the winner of any hand will be the dealer for the next hand.

Betting

There is usually an ante or boot amount put on the table (the pot). The betting then starts by the player next to the dealer.

NAM (video game)

NAM (also sold as NAPALM in some retail outlets) is a commercial Build engine first-person shooter video game set during the Vietnam War, developed by TNT Team and published by GT Interactive Software. It originated from the creation of the total conversion for Duke Nukem 3D titled Platoon. It was picked up by Infogrames who put them to work on a remake, with more professional art and some custom source code modifications by Matt Saettler, product manager for Blood, which resulted in NAM on July 31, 1998. U.S. Marine Sergeant Dan Snyder, who helped pioneer computer simulation training for American troops with a Doom army mod, was a consultant on the project.

The direct sequel, World War II GI, was released in March 1999, again developed by TNT Team and published by GT Interactive Software.

Gameplay

The game itself is very similar to Duke Nukem 3D. Very little was changed in regards to controls, movement rate, physics, and con (control file) language. The only immediately noticeable change in the game code was the removal of the remote detonator for weapon 6, the grenade, which was a pipebomb in Duke Nukem 3D. In the game, there are AI marines which will help the player in some levels, each with different classes and specialties. Mines are present in most levels, requiring players to activate his mine detector.

NAM-1975

NAM-1975 is a 1990 war-themed action shooting game released by SNK. It was the first game released for Neo Geo arcade and home platform, and the only title to not feature the Neo Geo logo in its attract mode.

Plot

"The roar of the helicopters overhead snaps us back into reality. We will never forget the nightmare of that summer..." these were the phrases that started the story of Silver & Brown (the names used to describe the two available players).

The game is set in a very fictional account of the final months of the Vietnam War. The story begins with the two soldiers, Silver (P1) and Brown (P2), entering the war to rescue Dr. R. Muckly, an ex-scientist of the American Army, who has been kidnapped by Northside Terrorists. Nancy Muckly, Dr. Muckly's daughter has also been kidnapped and is presumed imprisoned in the NAM interior.

However, as the game progresses, the armies learn that Dr. R. Muckly is a madman who is building a gigantic laser cannon to take over the world himself (the final boss battle was infamous for disallowing continues ). Despite the intense firepower of the laser cannon, the troops defeat Dr. Muckly and save the world, though the war continues in Vietnam.
